ACT Sport and Recreation 2007 Grants

2007 SPORT AND RECREATION GRANT PROGRAM

The Minister for Sport and Recreation, Mr Andrew Barr has announced the 2007 Sport and Recreation Grant Program open.

OPENING DATE            TUESDAY 10 OCTOBER 2006
CLOSING DATE            FRIDAY 10 NOVEMBER 2006

To be eligible to apply for finding, organisations must:

    §       Be not for profit and be incorporated in the ACT; 
    §       Have an Australian Business Number (ABN); 
    §       Deliver programs within the ACT; and
    §       Have a current public liability insurance coverage to a minimum level of $10 million.

Women's Grant Program Soo Bahk Do

Sport and Recreation ACT, an agency of  ACT Government, has granted funds to Region 3 under their Women's Grant Program 2006.  There are two funding categories: 

1.    The first funding category is to subsidise airfares for one senior (Sa Dan and above)female Dan and one junior (Cho Dan to Sam Dan) female Dan from Region 3 to attend the US National Soo Bahk Do tournament in San Diego from 10-13 August 2006.  The funds can only be used to cover airfares for this purpose.  The level of funding is $850 per airfare.

2.    The second funding category is assistance with the cost of Jo Kyo and/or Kyo Sa certification for female members of Region 3.

Female Dan members of Region 3, 15 years of age and over, who would like to apply for funding can send a written expression of interest to:

Expressions of interest should be received by the Committee by close of business Friday 24 March 2006.

The expression of interest should state which funding you are applying for.  Individuals can apply for one or both categories.  Outline your training history, including but not limited to qualifications, participation in seminars, camps, tournament etc.  Include any other activities which illustrate your support for Soo Bahk Do Moo Duk Kwan at local, regional, national or international level.

The Grants Selection Committee is pleased to announce that the Funding made avaible has been distributed to Five Individuals.
